Chamber Music Society of Harney County

The Chamber Music Society of Harney County (CMS) provides for music performance and education opportunities in Harney County, Oregon.

CMS is a non-profit organization committed to developing and sustaining an appreciation of music within Harney County.   We provide an opportunity for individual musicians to practice and perform in concerts.  We promote local school music programs.  We encourage you to join us in these goals by becoming a member and participating in CMS events. 

UPDATE:

The CMS board is pleased to announce we have directors for all performance groups for the Winter Concert scheduled for December 6, 2026.  Rehearsals are scheduled to begin in October.

Julia Bastuscheck is a retired music educator and former conductor of the Central Oregon Youth Symphony.  She will conduct the fall season of the CMS Orchestra.
